Changing how we see each other

Aaron Green (he/him/his) is one of the most sought after, influential and dynamic social and racial justice experts of his generation. He has over 10 years of professional experience in the field of social work. With a background in school special education and non-profit mentor programming, Aaron understands the significance of cross-system involvement. As an architect of innovation, he is dedicated to reimagining and creating antiracist systems. Aaron is a masters-level social work leader, educator, and practitioner who has facilitated, trained, and provided consultation with grassroot organizations, universities and government institutions working with Black, Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC). 

A critical, clinical, and compassionate social worker and leader dedicated to social justice and equity for all, Aaron understands the significance of cross-system involvement.  Through his research-based and practice-based evidence, he utilizes antiracist changework and reality pedagogy as the way forward. A certified social caseworker and certified social caseworker supervisor, he has experience in child welfare administration, intake, prevention, foster care/adoption recruitment and training, and visitation services.


Currently, Aaron is on the Board of Directors for the Cherry Creek Schools Foundation, and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work. Aaron is the author of The Color Code: 10 Essential Antiracist Tools and Strategies for Social Work Practitioners and Invisible: The Black & Blues of Child Welfare. He lives in Aurora, CO with his wife Traci, and their two sons, Aaron Jr. and Elijah.
